Dr Monica Lee qualified as a dental surgeon in 1997 from the United Medical & Dental School of Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals. She has worked in the maxillo- facial unit in Chichester/Worthing hospitals and in dental practice in the UK and in Germany for the Ministry of Defence as a Civilian Dental Practitioner. She completed her Specialist Training in Periodontology in 2008 and was awarded a merit in both her MSc and MClinDent qualifications.

Monica works in specialist practice and is also a specialist clinical teacher of Periodontology at Guy’s Hospital, Kings College London. She also lectures GDP’s and VDP’s on her specialist subject. She attends international and national conferences to expand her knowledge in the field and allow her to provide the best service for her patients.

Her special interests are in both non surgical and surgical periodontology and single tooth implant placement. She has conducted clinical research and has published and co-authored papers in leading dental journals.

Monica is a member of the British Society of Periodontology (BSP) and currently sits as their Commercial Liaison Officer. She is also regional representative for the British Society of Periodontology (BSP) for the Cambridge area and is a speaker on their national roadshows.

Referrals in all aspects of Periodontal diagnosis and treatment for both Chronic and Aggressive disease are welcome. She also provides surgical treatments including crown lengthening, recession defects and surgical regenerative techniques.

She is happy to discuss any cases for potential referral and always keeps in contact with her referral dentists to ensure the best quality of care for the patient is maintained.
